1. Structure and composition
Flat plate collector
Heat absorber: usually made of copper/aluminum, with selective absorption coating (such as black chrome) on the surface, which can absorb solar energy efficiently.
Transparent cover: tempered glass or polymer material, with high light transmittance and impact resistance, reducing heat loss.
Flow channel design: internal copper tube or aluminum tube is welded into a serpentine shape to improve thermal conductivity.
Insulation layer: rock wool or polyurethane foam is used on the back to reduce heat dissipation.

Jacket water tank
Double-layer structure: the inner tank stores hot water (stainless steel/enamel material), the outer layer is a jacket, and a closed cavity is formed in the middle, which is filled with antifreeze medium (such as propylene glycol solution).
Heat exchange method: the medium heated by the collector circulates in the jacket, and indirectly heats the cold water through the inner tank wall to avoid water pollution.

2. Working principle
Heat collection stage
Sunlight is absorbed by the heat absorber through the cover, converted into heat energy, and heats the medium in the flow channel (water or antifreeze).
Heat exchange stage
The medium circulates to the jacket water storage tank, and the heat is transferred to the water in the inner tank through the jacket cavity to form a closed loop.
Auxiliary energy (optional)
On rainy days, electric auxiliary heating or gas heating automatically starts to ensure hot water supply.
