While the photovoltaic panel generates heat, it generates low-temperature heat energy that is about 3 times the power generated. Surplus heat energy is generally not used and is directly discharged into the air. This system uses low-temperature waste heat recovery to absorb the heat energy for heating projects, and effectively reduces the temperature of the photovoltaic cells. Thus, it can improve power generation efficiency and increase power generation. At the same time, the heat is stored inside the box change material for users to keep warm.

PVT panels with water circulating systems have an average 11%-15% increase in power generation efficiency a year when compared with ordinary PV panels.

Example: a 450W PVT panel, with 4 hours of sunlight, can produce 1.8 kWh of electricity and 4.5 kWh of hot water. A panel costs 550 CNY more than an ordinary photovoltaic panel. But the income generated is 1600 yuan a year, the fastest four months to pay back the capital.

The PVT system can perfectly solve the heating problem in cold weather, and it can be realized in the form of floor heating, radiator, and fan coil. Refer to the northern heating standard: the indoor temperature exceeds 18°C. The existing PVT can reach an indoor temperature of about 16°C.
